it's funny how one's courtesy can turn into an embarrassment for two in train.
while i was on NEL to clarke quay to meet jean, i saw this young man quickly stand up to offer his seat to a lady standing beside me. she very politely rejected him by saying "it's ok" but he also very politely insisted that she take the seat. after a good 2 mins of "go ahead", "it's ok", "no no, it's fine", "it's ok", the lady finally said, "i'm not pregnant!"
whoa!
both turned red and watched a kid happily took the seat with a grin.
