i cannot deny the fact that women are gossipy but it's really hard to believe that working adults in their 40s (both man and woman) will also make childish remarks.
because of the bad economy and all the cost-cutting savings plans that my company has, we had no choice but to cut our budgets and sadly, to lay off some people. we started with our telemarketing agency and had to terminate 5 positions, 1 of them being the team manager. to cut the long story short, she was sore about not receiving a sum of money which my ex-colleague promised and now, she wanted to take legal action against her company.
well, there was quite a bit of drama and i was the one listening to stories from all over the place, since i was the one who is managing this agency. so this lady here went telling ppl her one-sided story and one of our ex-colleagues also started telling her the ugly side of my company. so together, they built quite an interesting story, which what i last heard was:
1. it's all part of humi and eleen's plan to get rid of all the agents (and because humi hate indians!)
2. eleen is still on the job because she's pretty and the frenchman doesn't want to fire her
although i find it amusingly hysterical, but it still does affect me because i know the agony my boss is facing when she needs to make such decision and much of it, i feel that's an insult to my competency. not that i agree i'm pretty but if someone is pretty and has no contribution to the company, no fool will keep her unless she's his lover - dumbass!
anyway, i feel better after ranting and the quote i came across this morning is rather true:
believe what you know and not what you hear!
