shanghai: marketing meeting

this is my second trip to shanghai for work and surprisingly, both times were with humi. the first time was in april 07, where i came here for a CRM training. and now in the new company, to attend the asia marketing meeting, with humi chairing the session.
reached shanghai on sunday evening though my flight was at 1010, which it delayed for more than an hour! humi brought me out for some shopping and dinner at this famous nan-jing-lu, where you get rows of shops with bright neon lightings! everything was so expensive here, even their giodano looks more atas than ours in SG!!
it was a hectic 2-day meeting starting from 8.30am to 6pm and i was really drained!! plus my stupid menses have to come at this time!!! i was really excited and kinda worried cos it's my first time representing my region to do a review. i still remember how i would look at serene when she was presenting back then in infor days - and now, it's my turn!
i was pretty nervous but i think overall my region did quite well and i was able to answer questions that was posed to me. but when i looked at myself in the mirror after my presentation, i noticed i was red all over! buahahaha! i must be REALLY nervous!!
oh well, group dinner was fab especially when i have humi beside me, filling my plate with all the yummy food! we had lobsters, fresh shark fins, all the excellent gourmet dishes at this restaurant which sat just along the bund, overlooking the entire river with panoramic night view. sweeee!!
only slept 5 hours last night cos i was preparing my 09 plans for submission today. not sure if it's a good news but i am taking over a new region starting next year. since i'm taking 2 regions, can i suggest 2 salaries too?! wait loooong loooong also don't have loh.. but but, at least gimme a pay rise also good ma.. (-_-")
sigh.. another loooooong day today and we were so tired + brain dead that we decided to come back to hotel straight from office, without even taking dinner. actually i do have half sandwich left from lunch but my boss insists i order room service, so why not?! hee..
wanted to order nice risotto but realised it costs SGD45 bucks and i reckon humi would probably scream so decided to order cheaper food but with more variety! hahaa, how smart can i be? and so, i ordered a seafood curry fried rice + cheesecake with lemon puff something something.
wooooooo.. shiok ah!!!!
anyway, i can't sing enough praises of my dearest boss as i feel she is really my 'gui ren'! she takes care of me soooo well that i feel she's like my 2nd god-ma or some close relative. it's like each time i see her, i sure have something nice to talk bout her. i guess bei can vouch for me as i was constantly praising her and telling him how lucky i am to have a boss like her. i speak so much about her that he told me he can't wait to meet her!
well, this is my dynamic yet full of motherly love boss of the year - humi san!
