it's been two weeks after the nerve-wrenching saga and indeed like what nigel said, i've grown stronger - mentally - that is..
things are more or less settled, at home, at work. the storm has calmed, so as my heart. thoughts are more organised and i know all will be good once i set into my new job.
i always believe and tell myself 'there's nothing too grave in this world that can stop the earth from orbiting'. so no matter what happens, i just got to pick myself up and move on.
i have always been independent, and to some point, i'm proud of it. i don't think i have achieved very much in life now but i know i am gaining more than my peers. i just pray to god for strength and courage to brave through the challenges that await me.
met harry for short drinks two nights ago and he told me he was amazed by how much i've grown. it was only six months since i last saw him. i was no longer the little girl he met in 06. he's happy bout my new job and my progress but of course, he warned me never to lose myself. i may be doing great in my job but i need to step back into reality and be the person i really am. i should never measure my partner the way i measure myself at work. i'm thankful for the conversation we had and the two lycheetinis that put me to peaceful sleep.
* * *
i'm sitting in a cozy corner in starbucks at genting. cooling breeze and warm sips of coffee - quiet moments just for myself. i never felt so calm before. feels like i have all the time in the world to myself. now i understand why would people travel alone, the feeling is just - different.
as far as i'm concerned, i still consider myself lucky and i know i'm many times more fortunate than some. my parents are great, especially mom. she's very supportive and i know i can always count on her.
got to go. i'm seeing kenny tonight. :)
