hari raya bbq

was invited for a hari raya bbq at yk's place but weirdly, no malays were present at the outing! it was the first outing among us and i'm surprised i got invited since it was organised by the sales folks.
it was a potluck session and i was tasked to bring fruits. oh well, since it's a bbq, it naturally came to my mind that i should bring cut fruits. i was really excited and went marketing alone and was lugging watermelon, honeydew, waterapples, dragon fruit, kiwis etc. and when i thought lugging the fruits back was bad enough, wait till i get hands-on cutting em up!
okie, i admit i was too pampered. it was my first time trying to cut a watermelon! so in the end, i wasted quite abit of fruits but still managed to get 2 trays out! haha!
when i got to the place, yk was pretty impressed that i brought cut fruits. he exclaimed when he saw my tray of fruits, "you bring cut fruits ah?! i thought you will only bring grapes and apples - those no need to cut one!" omg.. was truly embarrassed! but well, at least i put in effort ma!
the night was okie. had good food, some red wine and finally met pat's dog - patro! so we have dom and her 3 lovable kids, cliff and family, brenda and hubby, patrick and patro, yk, stephy, linda, mary, another finance lady and myself. not too bad afterall you know. at least i try to socialise with the office peeps - it's easier to get things done when you need them at the right time! *wink*
we have dom's kids - emily, lala and momo - filling the night with so much fun and laughter! especially momo, he's sooooo cute! everyone wants to have a fair share of him! me and lala had 2 funny shots! we're just so not in sync!
