bangkok: little getaway
30 September 2007 @ 3:33 PM
this BKK trip was invigorating! though short, but it's definitely a pleasant getaway for me since i've so much on my mind recently..
work was indeed piling and i could hardly breathe for the last two weeks. it was such an impromptu idea to visit BKK but the thought of getting out of SG and from everyone simply thrills me.
was in hotel checking emails half the afternoon and then walked abit around my hotel. nothing much in the malls - just like the ones we had in SG. airen said the platinum mall is the number one MUST-GO site that i should visit and of course i did!!
managed to get there with the help of the map on the 2nd afternoon and the shops there really 'wowed' me! i wasn't really prepared to shop so did not buy alot of things. i was a little disappointed with the few things i bought and i swear i'm definitely gonna head back there and wipe things out the next round!
apart from all the low-end bargaining and shopping, i had a chance to taste living the high life. i was brought for dinner at this beautiful restaurant called vertigo grill and moon bar - a sophisticated and romantic open-air bar-cum-restaurant situated 61 floors above the buzzing streets of bangkok that simply blew me away.
i sat there adoring the breath-taking scenic view with cool breeze whispering in my ear while i savor sips of red wine. for a moment, i thought i was in a place known as paradise.

life is short - we need to learn how to truly let go and appreciate things around us.
so let's kick the stress out and say cheers to many happy moments to come!
